Recent World Series Of Poker bracelet winner decided to become part of the Esports club, joining other poker legends already on board.  

American professional poker player Dan (Jungleman) Cates has been announced as a new investor in Esports organization QLASH. Cates just won his first World Series Of Poker bracelet in the ultra-prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship in Las Vegas and became the newest poker-related name to join the Esports club. 

Cates participated in the event’s final table dressed as Dragon Ball Super Saiyajin, showing a bit of his passion for gaming. He decided to deepen that passion by adding his name to an organization that already has poker legends as investors like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth and Jeff Gross. QLASH was founded in 2017 by two former professional poker players: Luca Pagano and Eugene Katchalov. Other sportsmen also recently joined QLASH as investors. Italian mixed martial arts fighter Marvin Vettori and Spanish footballer Victor Camarasa were announced during the past months. 

About his decision to invest in QLASH, Cates said: “The gaming and esports industry is constantly growing and, with further reflection, I believe it can be used for people to learn experientially. It’s a business with a lot of potentials. I believe QLASH is a strong investment and I’m sure there are many strategic partnerships we can do and provide value”.

Cates’ announcement comes while QLASH is finalizing a successful equity crowdfunding campaign in the Seedrs platform, which has helped QLASH pass the € 1 million mark. The organization has a vision of bringing distinct solutions to build communities for multiple different games and bridge traditional brands with the young generation. 

QLASH has focused during the past years on building a large community, strong brand and close relationships with massive brands such as AC MILAN, Sky TV, Red Bull, Viber, MARCA and Paysafe.  

The QLASH Community App was launched as a private MVP in November 2020 and it has been under constant development since then. Early results are extremely positive as it’s already averaging almost 20k monthly active users, with over 1500 online Esports events organised.
